By using Smart Kharcha, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We DO NOT Collect

We want to be absolutely clear about what we do NOT do:

• ❌ No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personal identifiers.
• ❌ No Financial Data Collection: We do not collect your bank details, credit card information, or transaction details from external sources.
• ❌ No Usage Analytics: We do not track your app usage, screen time, or feature usage.
• ❌ No Location Data: We do not collect your GPS location or device location.
• ❌ No Device Information: We do not collect device model, operating system version, or unique device identifiers.
• ❌ No Data Sharing: We do not share any data with third parties, advertisers, or analytics companies.

3. Information Stored Locally

The App stores the following data ONLY on your device using local storage (Hive database):

• ✅ Transaction Data: Income and expense records that you manually enter.
• ✅ Categories: Custom categories you create for organizing transactions.
• ✅ App Settings: Your language preference (Hindi/English), theme preference (Dark/Light mode).
• ✅ App State: Onboarding completion status and user preferences.

Important: All this data is encrypted and stored locally. It never gets transmitted to any server or external storage unless you explicitly choose to export and share it.

4. Data Security

We implement the following security measures:

• 🔒 Local Encryption: All data is encrypted before storing on your device.
• 🔒 Device Protection: Your data is protected by your device's built-in security (PIN, fingerprint, face unlock).
• 🔒 Regular Security Updates: We regularly update the App to address any security vulnerabilities.

5. Data Export Feature

When you use the export feature to create CSV reports:

• 📊 Local Generation: CSV files are created locally on your device's storage.
• 📊 Complete Control: You have full control over these exported files.
• 📊 No Automatic Upload: No data is uploaded to any server during export.
• 📊 Optional Sharing: You can choose to share these files manually via email or messaging apps if desired.

6. Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:

• 🗑️ Delete All Data: Use the "Clear All Data" option in App Settings to permanently delete all your transactions.
• 📤 Export Your Data: Export all transactions to CSV anytime from the Settings section.
• 🔄 Change Language: Switch between Hindi and English anytime in Settings.
• ⚙️ Manage Categories: Add, edit, or delete transaction categories as needed.
• 📲 Uninstall: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data from your device.

7. Permissions

Smart Kharcha requests the following permissions:

• 💾 Storage Access (Optional): Only requested if you choose to export data to CSV. The App needs permission to create these files on your device's storage.
• 🌐 Internet Access (Limited): The App requires internet permission ONLY for:
  • Viewing Privacy Policy & Terms of Service (loaded from GitHub)
  • Contacting support via email
  • Sharing exported files via other apps
  Note: Your transaction data is NEVER transmitted over internet.
• 📍 No Location Access: The App does not request location permission.
• 📞 No Contact Access: The App does not request access to your contacts.

8. Third-Party Services

Smart Kharcha does not use any:

• 🚫 Advertising networks
• 🚫 Analytics services
• 🚫 Crash reporting tools
• 🚫 Push notification services
• 🚫 Social media integrations
• 🚫 Cloud storage services

The App works independently without any external dependencies for data storage or processing.

9. Children's Privacy

Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone, including children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy
• Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page
• Providing an in-app notification for major changes (when you open the App)
